I am new here I'm Marla, mom of 2 kiddos and wife to my favorite sailor. We are currently living in Annapolis, MD and hope to return to our home state of California with our next move.

Thanks for the welcome :) I still haven't really made heads or tails of what patterns say, still just focusing on practice of my limited skill, but I love doing it. My 4 yo would even like to learn but it's hard with a preschoolers attention span!!

There's a fairly recent thread on teaching little ones, but I'm not up for searching at the moment. The gist was to teach them to chain - with a hook or with their fingers - and they'll be thrilled! With bulky yarn, your little one could make a tree garland.
