Hi Everyone!

I've just joined the site and am a complete beginner.I have just ordered a couple of amigurumi books, yarn and hooks so hope to start asap!

I've always loved crafty things and was looking for a new hobby. I am a nail technician and also teach. I would love to learn to read patterns and make some little toys for my 2 year old.

Is there anyone in my area on here? I have a feeling I'm going to get very frustrated whilst attempting to follow instructions in a book.

Sam :-)

Do you have a wool shop nearby? The people who work there should be able to help you with the instructions.

Hi everyone new here so if I don't get things right let me know. I have been crocheting for about 22 years or so.

My grandmother on my mom's side did crocheting but never would teach me. She did like girls. But a girlfirend from school showed me when I was PG with my first son and I couldn't get the hang of it so I put it down. And picked it back up after I came home with him and been doing it ever since. Even my hubby brings me yarn when he finds it.

Got me a so much yarn a lady had it in a Cadillac. trunk and back seat full. I have trash cans and boxes of yarn. I know I have more yarn then Wal-mart. I do it in my down time which seems to be less and less winter is my quite time I hate the cold so I don't go out much. As long as we have food and heat I am happy. I plan to post everything I have done the once i have pitcures of. I am not real good at founding patterns I do it til I like it. I make custom baby doll Layette sets so I measure with the doll.

Also have a pattren in my head to make Baby Layette sets.

Just my thing I guess. hope to be real happy here I have joined other groups that seem to die off. hope this one don't. Carol
