Hiya!
I'm new here and I've been driving me mad by searching for days for a crochet pattern... I do love this hat:

I've found some knitting patterns, but I can't knit, so I need the crochet pattern... There are some websites where you can get it if you pay, but I think I can find it for free...
Does anybody know where can I find it? Or how can I make it??
That pixie hat is adorable. It looks very simple, like a triangle seamed together at the back and then a border around the opening.
mad for crochet!
I'd say a triangle with two corners cut off where they would touch the shoulder. IMO, the hat has too many inches from front to back over the top of the head. While cute, it looks like it would fall forward and partially blind the wearer. I have some hooded jackets like that. On a rain jacket, I have to wear a visored cap under the hood so I can see. Making the back seam a curve instead of a straight line might fix it.
Pick some yarn and a hook and make a swatch to find your stitch and row gauge. Hdc (in back loop?) with a largish hook is supposed to yield a nice, supple fabric. Experiment with hook size until you're happy with the look and feel.
Then look at the knitted pixie hat pattern and sketch out how it looks before it is stitched. How many inches around the face, how many around the neck, how many from forehead to peak. Convert those to number of crochet stitches and crochet rows. Add or subtract for the trim rows/stitches. Viola, you have designed your own! Yes, it takes a lot of calculations, but that's how designing works. Good luck.
