Hi everyone,

I guess you would call me an advanced beginner; I've enjoyed following some basic patterns and I'm thinking of doing something more creative. Two of my favorite scarf patterns have been the curly or corkscrew scarf, and the mobius scarf. Has anyone tried combining the two patterns? I realize this will probably take LOTS of yarn--is it worth it? I have some beautiful skeins of Manos del Uruguay yarn that I've been hanging on to until I can figure out what to do with them. What do you think? I've also been thinking about making a nice felted purse with the Manos del Uruguay yarn--I read that it's great for felting. Any thoughts? Thanks; this looks like a wonderful site!

mad for crochet!

Hi Sara without an H. Welcome!I like the picture of your corkscrew scarf in your avatar. Personally, I think a big part of the fun with this type of scarf are the screwy ends. A mobius made with this technique might end up looking like a clown collar that is too big! I don't mean to be a downer, it's just my humble opinion. Please ignore me and make that screwy mobius if the spirit moves you!!It might just end up being the new fashion craze!:)I think felted bags are fabulous too.

Hi Sarah with an H,

Your clown collar gone wild analogy made me laugh, and I think you might be right--especially if it were made with the crazy colors I used in the corkscrew scarf.

I like your patterns--especially the cotton doily patterned hat. I'm glad I joined the Revolution.
