My grandmother taught me to crochet years ago. All I really ever learned to do was go back and forth, back and forth.
Now I have two granddaughters and a great niece and I'm trying to crochet beginner sweater patterns. I guess practice makes perfect.
I've been looking online for tips and patterns. I'd also like to learn different stitches. Plus I just like online forums.
It will be nice to have a place to ask questions.
anoramaxsis My Grandmother also taught me to crochet. At the time I did not realize the gift she was giving me. practice and time are all it takes. One project at a time. I used to just make things and randomly give them away. This last year I moved,changed hours at work, then an auto accident. Sooo, when x-mas was coming I was hard for cash, but had a stash of thread. I made all of my x-mas gifts. It was the greatest thing I could have done. keep your hook busy and your gifts from the heart will be lovely.
