Hello all!
I've been a member for some time but don't remember using the forums ... or if I have it's been quite a while ago!
I'm Elaine and I live in Shropshire, UK. I've been crocheting for about three to four years or so now, inspired by crazy conversations at a camp, when we talked about if it's possible to crochet with the hook on a Swiss Army Penknife (it is, just about!) and Barbie Druid Toilet Roll Covers!! (haven't made one yet but have the Barbies ...!) My friend who crochets was there, but then she went off to the Orkneys so I impatiently got a book out of the library and taught myself!
At the moment I'm experimenting with sock crochet and have yet to make a huge garment apart from a shawl. I've made beautiful head dresses and am constantly finding inspiration on the net so I look forward to spending a little more time here :)
When I'm not crocheting I work part time, am mum to one and two cats (and have a husband too!) and I'm also studying for a degree with the Open University.
Warm blessings
Elaine x
...the turn of the earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour. The entire planet is hurtling around the sun at sixty seven thousand miles an hour. And I can feel it.
