I finally went to the doctor on Friday because the pain in my knee was horrible.
A few x-rays layer, he gave me prescriptions and told me to take it easy and wait and see if it will get better or if I need a MRI and maybe surgery.
Well, I thought that this was a great time to sit on the sofa and work on my Doris Chan Skirt.
Everything was fine until the painkiller he prescribed kicked in. I thought that even if I couldn't actually read the pattern, I could understand the diagram. ha
Well the next morning I looked at my work and said "HUH?" I had happily crocheted the night away making so many mistakes that I just had to laugh.
So, people, I have to tell you that crocheting really takes your mind off of pain. But stick with a simple pattern!
mad for crochet!
ooo!I thought you were going to say that crochet has caused your knee pain, but I am relieved to hear that it helped you to forget it! I do hope your knee gets better soon. What is the skirt you were working on?
It's called "Walking after Midnight" from Amazing Lace Crochet. After frogging a few rows I went back to work and am on row 25. It's going well.
I'll post pictures soon... when I can see through the camera lens. haha Michele
Oh My Goodness!
I haven't laughed this hard all week! Not to be insensitive though - It's just that I can soooo relate! Painkillers can be both a blessing and a curse. Especially if you crochet!
I hope your knee is better soon.

I feel off the stage at my school and for a week I was at home with a concussion. It was the week before christmas, so I sat there making amigurumi for my friends cuz I couldn't move much. I had the worst headache, but crocheting took away the boredom.
