Hi! My name is Regina, and I am a crochet addict!

I never leave the house without a portable project.

I daydream crocheting.

I find any excuse to go to my craft stores.

I have a bad obsession with magazines and books on crochet.

I did drink and crochet...bad combination.

Hi Regina,

I think I have the same addict!

I have an addiction for Crochet books & magazines! I have not, as yet, attempted to produce any of the beautiful crocheted garments in the many books I have bought, except for a shrug that I made, which turned out very well and I gave to my work colleague for her birthday, last week.

I will, I am pretty sure, will get over my hesitancy and will cross that bridge to creating one of these garments for myself. Being on the large side, I know that I will have problems once I reach the underarms, back and around the bust area. So, like all beginners, I will have to stop at this stage & seek guidance from my many crochet techniques books, to alter to fit!

I will try to stay positive and hopefully I will create a crocheted garment & I may post a photograph I myself wearing the finished result!

As for the addiction of leaving the house with a crocheted project in your hand-bag, I haven't yet go to this stage, but I know that I am very close to it!

All I can say is, "carry on crocheting" because you know that you are creating a "master-piece", and like fine art, a crocheted piece is price-less, when your friends, colleagues and the general public ask you where they can buy one?

Happy crocheting!

Yes, It's bad when depending where you go, you can bring your work with you.

Since I am working on a baby blanket using grannies, this is as portable as you can make it!

The other projects are a throw for my nephew, and taking srcaps to make all kinds of little projects.

Hi Regina

Thanks for your comments. You are the first crochetme friend that I have actually written to.

The weather today, in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire, in the United Kingdom, is very, very hot! but not a hot as it mostly gets to, where you live!

We have just come home from my husband's sister's barbeque!

We had a good time sitting in her back garden, eating barbequed sausages, home made burgers, eating fresh pineapple, grapes and some very naughty delicious fruit cheesecakes. Not to mention drinking the wine & beers!

My sister-in-laws' children had a great time splashing about in a paddling pool, getting everyone wet whilst messing about in the garden, soaking each other! That's kids for you! We very rarely see weather like this, and according to the weather forecast, next week for us British is going to be a 'scorcher'! It is going to be hotter than it has ever been and we have been advised not to go outside in the hottest temperatures of the day and to drink plenty of water! As lot of people go out to work and a lot of people work outside, and the rest of the nation will be out shopping, on holiday or out of work. I know the majority of British will just enjoy the hot weather for what it is, as the sunny skies and hot temperature sun, never lasts that long for us! I know that most of us at work would most likely rather be in their gardens at home, relaxing in their sun loungers, drinking beer or wine and just chilling out.

At lot of people, like yourself, will be crocheting or knitting! I haven't ventured outside in my garden to crochet yet, but this just might be the right opportunity for me to have a go.

Sad news about Michael Jackson. He truly was a musical genius!
