Does anyone have experience or tips for making bullion stitches?

I haven't heard of this stitch before, until I read about Irish crochet a few years ago. I've also seen beautiful creations in freeform crochet. A few days ago I found an interesting video (in Russian, I think) using a tapestry needle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nN3DfZfG6ro&NR=1

I'm sure you have to practice this, too, but it seems easier.

I have done bullions, and learning them was a bit tricky for me. This tutorial offered a good method for keeping the tension even on the loops while removing the hook. I have since gotten a lot better at bullions, but I still think this is worth trying. Thanks for the post.
