Hi. I bought some clearance Plymouth Yarn Alpaca Boucle Luxury Indiecita Brand yarn--it's gorgeous! But I don't have a pattern to use with it. The website isn't much help. I would like to make something to wear (sweater or shawl or somthing)and am not sure what it could substitute for (not even sure what weight it is). Does anyone have any good patterns for this yarn? I have seven 50-gram skins. It is 90% Alpaca, 10% nylon, and the gauge is 2-1/2 stiches per inch with 10-1/2 knitting needles. I'd rather crochet with it (I'm a better crocheter than a knitter), but I'd take a knitting pattern as well. Thanks!

Hello,

Not sure you are still signed in to this forum, given how long ago you posted this question. Hopefully you are, and even more that you found a pattern. Incidentally, I found you for the same reason...I have been looking for a pattern. There are a few around, including one for a crocheted poncho, and some jackets (which I don't love) but perhaps they will point you in the right direction. If you found any others I would love to know?

Here are my results:

vogue-knitting-holiday-2008 has a fabulous tunic for the boucle and alpaca brush combined

I also suggest that you join ravelry.com (like this forum but for knitters)

Thanks,
