I got to hang out with some Angora goats a few days ago. They are staying in one of the greenhouses at the vegetable farm my boyfriend runs. They have to stay warm while they are 'kidding' ( ie having thier babies). The babies are too cute for words and were a lot of fun to play with. These are the animals mohair comes from, angora only comes from the rabbits. I have no idea why. Does anyone out there know?

This little guy loved to chomp on my sweater! My hair too!

??? Deja vu, I've already seen this post of the cute little goat. Oh, I just noticed its tiny little horns beginning to sprout. Cuter yet!

The reason I posted this again is because I wondered

Does anyone know why angora goats produce mohair and not angora?
