Hi Ladies: I'm looking for any & all crocheted Victorian Christmas ornaments. Done with thread, not yarn. Specifically looking for a pattern for thread crocheted mini Victorian shoe. Saw one about 7 yrs. ago & thought I could find a pattern but haven't had any luck. Sure could use some help finding this pattern if anyone can pass along information. It may be a pattern from China, Japan or other foreign country. It must becoming a lost art because in the USA there doesn't seem to be much interest in my kind of crocheting.

Hi,
A good place to find vintage victorian patterns and thread crochets is a Used book store. I bought 2 vintage crochet booklets from our local used book store at a minimum price.
Happy Crocheting,

I love to browse the vintage crochet publications on the Lacis website. There are several thread crochet books that offer patterns for novelty items that you might be interested in. Just look at Lacis.com in their online sales catalogue under needlework. It even has some crochet books from Spain, Italy, and Japan.
