I made this sweater last winter/spring for my niece in Japan. My first garment-from-a-pattern (second garment ever, if you don't count hats and wristlets). Made it from Lion Microspun using the free pattern on the Lion website.
I liked it so well I'm in the middle of trying to make a summer sweater for myself. It's not summer anymore? oh well, at least my niece got her sweater before she was too big for it! The neck opening fastens along one shoulder with buttons; the space between shells makes the buttonholes automatically.

Now you! Show and tell!
Cute pattern, good colors, and well-executed. And there's a bit of growing room in it. Congrats!
I want to say something about maritime ship and buoy lights, red and green, but red should be on the left, port side.
Oh yeah, I remember thinking about that at the time! "Red Right Returning"! Well, I guess it is because I'm a rower, and we're backwards in the boat, so I get all confused anyway.
Thanks for your note!
the maritime comment reminds me playing 'port and starboard' when in the Brownies, in the year dot, lol they still play it now, son 6yrs old plays it at 'Beavers', the old one's are the best!
dc's are trebles in disguise!!
I think the sweater is adorable and you should be very proud of it. I love it.
Thanks everybody for your gracious comments. So ....
... any other baby sweaters out there? or start a new topic with YOUR FO (finished object)!
