Here's a little hat I made yesterday. My best friend is expecting. I was planning on making the "lizzy hat" that Amy posted recently, and started her pattern, but I found myself improvising from the second row of DC (Sorry Amy, your hat is really cute, but I just have a hard time following patterns... I always try new stuff, just to see...) I also skipped the last row of SC to make it a bit smaller, since I used a WW yarn. I think it would fit a 6 to 12month baby. It's about 16" around, unstretched. The thing is, though, that I don't know if my friend will have a boy or a girl yet, and the hat is a tad girly...

That is very, very cute. Just put some fishing flies on it to make it look masculine, LOL.

Love the hat!!!  It would also be cute for a doll. I would love the pattern.

This is absolutely adorable! I LOVE hats, especially children and baby hats. They are the perfect projects to play with new techniques on.
