An old dog's new trick

This is my first post since joining. This pattern, however, is from The Happy Hooker - not Crochet Me.

I wanted to show it off anyway because I've crocheted basic stitches and in the round since I was a small child but JUST last month taught myself how to follow a pattern (you can assume I'm somewhere in my 30's).

I started with the Java Jacket, those were big christmas hits!

I wish I would have photographed them!

Here is the One Skein Scarf from Happy Hooker, I modified the original pattern length slightly.

I used two shades of Plymouth Yarn's Suri Merino.

So, whadda y'all think?

ps, Is this fo forum intended for crochet me patterns? Are patterns from elsewhere welcome?

Very nice scarf that must feel scrumptious! People's FO's are from a variety of designers, including their own patterns.

Nice color choice. I actually think I like it better in two colors. Nice job!
