rattle snake

Hi everyone

After finding out that my toddler girl is absolutely obsessed with snakes, seeing them everywhere, thinking that cords are all snakes and that they sleep all day (she keeps saying "SSSSS dodo" and dodo is sleep in French)... I decided to crochet her one. I basically just did a tube in SC that I filled with scrap yarn, and improvised a head, sew buttons for the eyes and added a little bell from a X-mas ornament on the tail for the rattle. She just loves it. I'm still planning on adding some eyelids to make it look a little more friendly, but I haven't got to it yet.

So cute, and how great that your daughter loves it. With eyelids, maybe this one will 'dodo'.

I think your rattlesnake is fabulous! I also think it is cool that your daughter loves snakes. So many people are afraid and grossed out by these amazing creatures.

I know, it's just weird that she seem to love them so much. But she's never seen a live one out of a tank, and we're moving to snake country in two weeks. We'll see if she still loves them then!

I remember picking up garter snakes - small, non-poisonous, and evidently slow - when I was 5 or 6. I didn't love them but wasn't afraid of them. I think your daughter will be delighted.
