I found this pattern on one of the many sites I use, but I changed a few things as I went. I never write anything down. All I have to show is just the finished project. The other hat is my daughter's. I had a pattern for it too, but it was way to big. I crocheted two together and then went to a single crochet to put a cute tight band around it. Then I went back to a double crochet. It turned out really cute and she wears it all the time. Same yarn on both, just different pattern and size.

Those are both so cute. Variegated yarn worked really well for making your hats.
