I'm glad you like her, Pauline. I was never one to follow the rules when it comes to crochet.
I had a flashback to the Pirates of the Caribbean movie: "Can't...breathe!"
Did you use doll hair? How did you attach it? I'm always struggling with hair...

mad for crochet! The hair is a yarn called crayon from knitpicks. Any boucle type would do. I wrapped a bunch of the yarn around a book and then tied it together on one side and cut it on the other. I made a couple of these bunches and sewed them to the top of the head. Where I tied the bunches together makes the part in the hair down the middle. I hope that is clear.
Nice! I'll give that a try on my next amigurumi with long hair. I'm working on a witch right now...
