Posted it on the wrong forum...rookie things :D

Here it is, my 3rd afghan.

All squares were made by other girls, we swapped squares for 9 months, and assembled all and make the terminations all around (sorry, I do not know the english term and google isn't helping... :) )

My 2 first afghans were the basic granny square, nothing much.

As I said previously, this afghan is a good showcase of squares. You can see some of them at http://smootha_girl.blogs.sapo.pt/

Very cool afghan! I love the idea of each friend exchanging squares. Keep up the nice work

Did every girl get a set of afghan squares or were you the only lucky one? You made them up into a nice afghan.

Hi Pauline

Every girl got the same number of squares. Each month I made 4 squares to send to a girl, and I received 4 squares from somebody else.

Each month I sent 4 squares to a different person, during 9 months, and during that time I also received 4 squares per month, from 9 different persons.

On next November we will start another afghan like this, for a year: 3 squares each month, for 12 months. We call these afghans "Mantas da amizade" (Friendship blanket).

Some of them are auctioned or donated to humanitarian associations.
