We just moved to GA, and throughout the travel time and hotel stay until we found a house, I managed to finish several projects. The pattern for these crocheted mitts is on knittingdaily.com. I used Debbie Bliss 100% silk.

wow - these are beautiful! I've been wanting a pair - guess I'll just have to make them myself. This is a great pattern. Thanks for sharing.

These are gorgeous!!! Nice work!! What was the Debbie Bliss silk like to work with? I have some of her yarn & I'm not really pleased with it. Then again, it's kind of nubby & I am not quite used to working with that type of yarn. Anyway...I hope you kept these for yourself & that it has gotten cool enough in your new home state to enjoy them. :)

For the most part, I liked the Debbie Bliss silk. However, there were a few nubs that I had to work at to conceal. With such a smooth, thin yarn the nubs really show up. I didn't want to cut the nubs out of the yarn and have to weave in a bunch of ends, though, so I tried my best to work tightly over them so you can't see them. It worked out okay.

The mitts turned out beautifully. They are extremely elegant. I remember this pattern from when it was first published with Piecework. They have beautiful patterns with historic connections. I believe this pattern ran with a piece on the Silk Road.
