There really isn't a pattern. Just single crochet on the elastic, chain however many you want (I use 10-12),single crochet over elastic, repeat around. Fun and easy.
"The elastic?" Do you mean the thread covered elastic for pony tails? It looks like you used the larger size that wraps twice around. (See how out of it I am?)
