Remember when I said I holed myself up in my apartment with a few skeins of Cascade 220 and an N-sized crochet hook? Well, here's the results. Never let it be said that the Master Planner is only good for amigurumi. :p
And closeup picture of the rhinestone detailing:

Hmmm...who would say such a thing anyway? Oh yes--Master Planner, herself!
Great purse. Did you machine wash it over and over, or did you actually boil it? I ask because it looks a little like boiled wool.

To textilefusion:
The handbag was felted, and the felting process requires pure wool yarn and water that's as hot as water can well get. I hand-felted it in the bathtub with a lot of very hot water, some ice water, a bit of dish soap, and an enormous amount of scrubbing--with rubber gloves on, of course. :D
Wonderful! The rhinestones are a great touch, and now I have that cool song going through my head. crystal blue persuasion....
mad for crochet!
Okay, yes! I've noticed that when I machine wash to felt, it look different from when I do the hot water/iced water/scrub thing.
This is really cool MP! I love the color & shape. I'm envious. Lol!

Oh you are greedy to excel at everything! And you are succeeding. Your bag is beautiful.
Gorgeous, I love the shape and the rhinestones. I too am jealous. I like the look of felted things but I'm not sure I have the patience to do it.
very pretty! I'm not into bags personally, but that doesn't mean I don't recognize great work when I see it.
