slip stitch hat

 This hat was an exploration of slip stitch. Most of the hat is slip stitch in the front loop only in rounds. I love the smooth solid, but lightweight fabric this stitch produces. I also like the roll brim that results.

Thanks mjwarner! The yarn is from Knitpicks, thier bare peruvian highland wool in worsted weight. I dyed it with plants - the grey is echinacea and burdock mordanted with iron, and the blue is black beans mordanted with alum.

So... not from Michael's I guess. (just kidding) I knew it had to be something very unique, none of the off the shelf yarns can hold a candle to the colors you've achieved. Beautiful! Martha
