Just finished these this weekend. They feel super on my feet, almost like a glove. This is the first time I've attempted socks, because the heel instructions always scare me, but this was beginner easy! These socks are so simple to customize, too. I kept trying them on so I could get the heel and toe exactly where I wanted them for me. Perfect and super simple. Thanks, Pam!
You did a great job! I've been wanting to try this pattern, and your description of how it went for you has convinced me to go get the yarn this weekend. Way to go, Ingrid!
mad for crochet!
Beautiful! The yarn you used looks nice and soft. I want to try these socks sometime too.
I have all my project notes with yarn and detailed comments over on Ravelry.com. I have the same username.
I used Bernat sport weight, but I would not use it again. It felt like it was going to be soft, but it is not stretchy at all. I don't know if all Bernat is like this, but the yarn was loosely wound, so the individual ply threads kept wandering off and getting snagged on my hook. The end result was good, but I'd try them again with a fingerling/sock weight that had some stretch to it. They still feel great on my feet, though. ;)
