Ok These I know what they are going to be. And now I've finished!!

TheBlankie

a new SUPER LIGHT blankie for Shreveport. I fell in love with the flower in the crochet thread, had a bunch of "I don't know what I'd ever do with this color" cottons. so I thought! AH! HA! how's abouts a blankie outa these!!

PatchWithPhoenix

there's a Phoenix there and a cable remote to give an idea of the size. The Phoenix is larger than people think. For some reason we grow them big.

Now. What would be the consensus on the best way to attach? running a threat through. or trying to crochet loop them?

:o)

and I went with stitching them together. Though that took me FOREVER. at least it felt like it to me. I gotta figure out that chaining around or the single crochet thing.

ThePatches

And the stitching added a rustic flavor to it.

mad for crochet!

They are so cheerful. I would use crochet somehow(chains between them?) to attach them, but that it just because I'm not very good at sewing.

I did a blanket similar to this and I tied the edges together like you would tie a quilt. I tied a double knot and then a bow. It turned out really cute. I used the same yarn to make all the bows. Occasionally one of the bows would come undone so I retied them and put a little fabric glue in the bow part and they have stayed together through several washings. Using the double knot assured me that even if the bow came undone that the blanket would not come apart. It's still one of our favorites for covering up on the deck on a cool evening.

OH!!  the ribbon would have been cute!!  We call this one our fairy puke blankie.  It's sort of like the fairy's had a little too much to drink.  But it's worked wonders for a blankie for the summertime!!
