So I'm a new user but I think I need some moral support. I finally finished the Philosopher's Coat and I feel like I never want to pick up another hook. The coat was done in lamb's pride worsted weight and ate way more yarn than the pattern called for. Not the best pics but what I have for now.

mad for crochet!

Oh Wow! Your coat is magnificent! What a huge project. Maybe after a break you can do some little projects for more immediate gratification.

I'm astonished! That is just awesome! The longer I look at it the more impressed I become.

I'm not surprised that you don't want to pick up another hook. If I were you, I'd be ready for some small, cute, simple amis or hats or something.

Very well done!

Oh My! (ok, that doesn't cover the shock, awe and astonishment that 'oh my' is supposed to cover.) That is more than beautiful. Stellar!

I have to agree with RedTartan and Sarahcrit, do something little, quick and cheap. instant gratification can be an excellent balm.

My goodness. I applaud you for sticking with it to completion! Wear it with pride and a great deal of accomplishment. I'd never have the patience for such a piece of crochet. Well done!

That is am impressive sweater. It looks quite complicated with different stitch patterns.  I find that a nice hat or single crochet project can be nice after a project like this.

Amazing! I understand why you feel drained...must have taken a lot of concentration and determination to finish!
