Hi, I'm really excited about the Chain Reaction Afghan. I have downloaded the two squares you offered, and I'm in the process of making them. I note that you have a place to send pictures of my finished squares, but you don't give an address of where to send the actual squares so they can be put into the Chain Reaction Afghan. Where do we send the squares?
My second question is about the colors we are to use for the squares. Do we have to use the colors shown in the patterns, or can we use any color combinations we want when following one of your patterns?
Thanks
Paulette Jones
Hi Paulette,
All you need to do at this point is post pictures.
You can use whatever colors you want, for either the published squares or your own original designs that you are submitting for the reader-designed sqaures contest.
If you want to make your own afghan with the squares that you make, that would be great. And maybe you want to get together with your own local friends or friends on CrochetMe to make an afghan. We'd love to see pictures of that afghan, too! I'd love to see how many afghans CrochetMe members can make to give away!
I hope this makes things clearer. Let me know if you have any other questions!Best,
Marcy
Marcy,
I am only able to download one of the bonus squares from the website, is there a trick I am missing? I have all four magazines plus the current wrap up issue and would love to have the two bonus squares that I'm missing. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks!

Suggestion to Marcy: Could the links to all 3 be posted in one place, maybe at the same place where you can download the Chain Reaction eBook? They are kind of hard to find.....
Thanks!
Hi Jennifer!
Thanks for putting in these links! And thanks for the suggestion.
We made finding these squares easier. Go to the main Chain Reaction page (http://crochetme.com/content/ChainReaction.aspx) and click on the Bonus Squares block. It will take you to link to the three bonus squares and the eBook.
Best,
Hi, I have just downloaded the e-book for the Chainreaction afghan, and love the colours used! Can I ask what yarn was used? I live in a small town where yarn is hard to find and have to do most of my buying online, so it helps to have some idea of what I am looking for!
I am a new member of crochetme and I love what I see.

Hi,
I can't seem to find the button to make a new post so I'll just reply to this one...I have almost finished my chain reaction afghan but I do have a question...When it comes to the border the pattern doesn't say which side should be facing you when you put the border on....I may have it backwards...the other thing I can't seem to figure out is row three of the border with color f.....The pattern just says to sc in the sc working behind the loops huh? I've tried to figure this out over and over...trying both sides but nothing looks right....Can anybody help me iwth this? I'd hate to throw it in the rag bag, but am not really willing to spend $20 on a video when I've finished all the squares. and I only have 1 row left.....
Hi Amaboott927,
The afghan should be facing up to work the border. All the rounds of the border are worked with the RS facing. You break the yarn at the end of each round. Rnd 3 makes a lot more sense when you actually work the border. The loops formed in row 2 will form a roll of loops. You need to work into the sc behind these loops so they stay to the front.
I hope this helps! Let me know if it doesn't.
