Just ordered the yarn...have never crocheted socks before...knitted plenty.

Looking forward to the project ...and doing something with a community sounds like fun

I just discovered you here, I'm glad you came over to Sidney's.

After Shirley's Socks are done I was thinking of tackling another project from Crochet Accessories 2010, there aren't anymore socks listed.  What do you think?

Have you tried the Honeycomb Socks? They are on my list. I love the split single crochet used for the foot, and I think they would be great angle socks with just two repeats of the honeycomb.

I wouldn't mind trying either Nina's Beaded Scarf on pg 24, 28 or Brenda's Basketweave Bag pg 66,68.  There are others but I think might be more suitable for a fall project.  I have many other UFO's here to finish and other yet to start.  I tend to jump from project to project, the quote I've seen, 'what me distracted......oh look a ball of yarn'  was written for me.

Make it a great day.

I really like both projects.  I think I'm leaning toward the scarf pattern.  I've finally gotten used to working with #1 yarn and a small hook.  I'd make the picot stitch in lieu of the beads.
