Any Tips On Preventing My Projects from Curling/Waving?

Hello all, I have been crocheting for about a year and a half, and keep running into the same problem with almost every project. It seems that I may have a tension problem but I am not sure. I am self taught and do not know anyone who crochets so... my diagnosis may be wrong. Currently i am making a scarf and the further a long I go the more the scarf seems to curve/wave. Is this a tension related problem or something else? Any advise/direction is much appreciated.

I'm willing to bet it's a tension issue. Maybe your hook size isn't matching your yarn well? I wish I had some tips for you; I'm self-taught as well and that was never one of my problems (though I had others, for sure!).

Thank you for your advise, once again. You are probably right, since I am using one of the smallest hooks I known even though the yarn is the same size I always use. Good news though, the stitch that you taught me a couple of weeks ago has not been curling/ or waving, so at least I have that down. Many thanks to you, hope your weekend has been going well.
