eneurian, take a deep breath and relax.  If you have read through the previous posts, you will have seen that you need to click on the link in the first post: 2012 Amigurumi Calendar Page.  When you get to that page, about 1/3 down the page is a large red button that says, "Download Now!"  Click on that, and you get to the pattern.

OK, I got as far as round 3, shaping the body and am stuck.  I know I am missing something but was I supposed to turn after rnd 2?  Am I working into the back loop only of the lst sc of rnd 2 or completly into the backside of the stitch.  I've tried it a couple of ways, but nothing looks right.  I know I'm making this harder than it should be, (it's a fault of mine and I will try to resolve in 2012.)  Any guidance would be appreciated.

If I would follow my own advise......using a smaller hook (to work into the backside of stitch) I followed what the directions stated and an now on round 13, must stop to make dinner for best husband ever!

Thanks, Patty!  She has a little brother ("little" because I crocheted him several months later, and must have used a smaller hook ) . Here is a pic of the siblings after a few months of handling by the grands:
