I have a pattern for an Irish Rose Bracelet by Karen Hoover.  It says to use a 1.5mm  (7) steel crochet hook.  I could only find a size (6) 1.8mm hook.  This hook looks so small for this project.  The yarn is Nazli Gelin Garden size 10, 50 g for 308 yd.

Does this sound correct?  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.  Karin

I did use a size 7 hook, and both of mine are noted as 1.65 mm.  But you could use either a smaller or larger hook.  Whatever makes your fingers happy.   Because these are small items using a small thread they can be hard to hold onto.  Because of that I often tend to crochet off the tips of my hooks. If the hook you have is smaller just release your grip and loosen up your stitches, which is better for your hands anyway!  If that doesn't work you can adjust the size based on stitch repeat.
