Hi there,
I've just made my first full square for the Gladiolus Vest from the 8 Free Granny Square Patterns PDF and the instructions say to join the rest as I go....but not how to do this.
If anyone's made this vest, or knows what they're asking for, could you please give some clarity?
Thanks!!
Lisa.
Will you please put the www. website on so I can see the instructions?
You have to download the ebook, but here's the link for the download:

A couple of weeks ago I picked up my box of scrap yarn and started crocheting granny squares again. "Again?" you ask. "When were you crocheting granny squares?"
Um, apparently it was over four years ago that I started crocheting granny squares from my scraps. I figure it's been about three-and-a-half years since I made one!
I was able to date this project because a link I found this afternoon is a good compliment to the tutorial I wrote up about how to spray block granny squares. And upon finding that post I discovered that I published it well over four years ago.
The link I found today is to a photo tutorial (only from 2009) over on Carina's Craftblog on how to join granny squares. Which is awesome, because it's inspired me to join mine this very same way, instead of whipstitching them together as I'd originally planned. You know, when I have enough to join. Maybe by 2016.

go to http://crochet.about.com and type in: how to join as you go granny squares in the "search box".
Hope this helps you.
Thanks :) I think I'm just going to join finished squares, joining as I go is just too tricky for me.
Did you ever finish this? I want to know if it matters what part you start. I know how to join as I go though.
I haven't finished yet. I think it says to start with the full squares, but I don't think it matters where you start to join them.
