here is the pattern ch 57 in third chain from hook  2 hd,  then 2hdc in next 9, slip sttich 45 chain 1 turn

sl st 40 ch 1 turn, sl st 40 chain 1 turn

sl st 35 chcain 1 turn ,sl st 35 chain 1 turn

sl st 30 chain `1 turn, sl st 30 ch 1 turn

sl st in 45, chain 12 to make curl

the question I have is how do I get rid of the bumps at the chain 1 turn from previous rows?

you could just omit the ch 1 since it's a sl st it might be okay otherwise there is really not a way that I know of
