Looking for suggestions regarding how to finish this blanket. I have a little less than two rows left but once done, should I put a border of some kind on it? I've looked up various ways to edge granny square blankets, but they all look a bit too bulky. Was hoping that you guys would have some suggestions!

It is a wedding present for my boyfriend's sister and her fiance. The wedding is in early October so I'm hurrying!

At the top of this page, click onto the word "Patterns".

When that comes up, over on the right side of the page is the words "Free E-Books"

Click on the e-book for afghans.  There is a wonderful granny square afghan that has a very nice edging on it.

Putting an edging on a granny square afghan will help it hold its shape.

Happy Hooking !

I'd go with shells to echo the pattern in the squares. Maybe: 1 sc, skip 2 or 3 stictches, dc, ch, dc, ch, dc, ch, dc, skip 2 or 3 stitches, and repeat to the end.

That is really pretty. I would look for something simple so as not to detract from the pattern.

Good luck. They will love it.
