Hi there! I'm hoping u can help me! I'm new to crocheting and just having a go at making a baby bonnet... However I'm stuck on one part to this pattern.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/articles/2006/04/18/ventilator_bonnet2_feature.shtml
I've got to the bit where u change needle sizes, down to the bit where it says to fasten off after making 8 rows. The bit where it says to miss 9 centre is what's confusing me! Is there anyway u could put it into simple terms for me please? I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Looked at the pattern on line and here is the part you're having trouble with:

6th row:  1 chain 1 dc into 1st dc,1 dc into next 11 dc. Turn
On these 12 dc work 8 rows. Fasten off.
Miss centre 9 dc. Rejoin yarn to next dc. dc to end ( 12 dc ). Turn
On these 12 dc work 8 rows. Turn

It appears that beginning with the 6th row, you work the 1st 12 sts for 8 rows and fasten off. Then on that same 6th row, you skip the next 9 sts, join your yarn again and work the last 12 sts of the 6th row for 8 rows. This gives you the "ventilation" hole for the back of the bonnet.

Hope this helps.
