I made this dress for my 16 mo old granddaughter. She was absolutely adorable in it although her Daddy said she looked like a "walking doily"!
This dress pattern was downloaded from Annie’s Attic Frilly Frocks collection (with four other similar patterns); I made the “Sherbet” dress. Since I had plenty of crochet thread left, I made the hat from a vintage 1940’s pattern and added the bottom trim to match the dress trim. I used Bernat Crochet Thread #5 in “vivid violet” and “white”. I’ve always used all cotton thread for these types of projects but this brand is 100% acrylic. It was easy to work with, had a nice drape, and soft texture. I really couldn’t tell much difference from using cotton.
What a beautiful little girl and the dress is just devine. Love it!!!!

That is the cutest "walking doily" I have ever seen! This dress and hat turned out adorable.
