I am new to the crochet world.  I taught myself this past January.  I have been having problems with socks, booties and slippers not coming out the same size when I do the second one.  I am counting and the counting is all the same.  What am I doing wrong?

Most likely it's your tension.....when I first started crocheting ...baby blankets were 36 inches across at one end and anywhere from 4 to 6 inches wider at the other.   good luck...it will get better.

Thank you for the advice!!!!  It worked!  I guess I pulled all of the stitches tight on the first bootie so I did the same on the second and it turned out the same.  Thank you so much for the quick response.Smile

Also make the soles right after the other and compare them. They should be the same size if not do it again. Even if your using the same color just slip stitch and weave in the ends. Most people tie the two ends together but it doesn't hold nearly as well and when you tie them it adds a big o bump.
