Ruth! That's beautiful! How do you mark your internal diamonds? Here's how I do it:
On the chart, I mark each row with a row of sticky notes on top of the working row. Before moving the stickies up to the next row, I check to see if one of those blank squares is the beginning of a diamond. If so, I do this:
The arrow points to the square that is the beginning of a diamond. On the crochet, I do this:
On the row just worked, I put a stitch marker around the two stitches that I have to skip.
After I work the ch5 that is the beginning of the diamond, I do this:
I move the marker up to the ch 5.
So, on row 41, which is a madness of diamonds-in-progress, the work looks like this:
A stitch marker at each diamond-in-progress. When the diamonds are done, I remove the stitch markers.
Love to know the tips and tricks you all are using to keep track of the chart & design!
Great tips! I've been making slow, steady progress. I'm at row 36 right now--quite a bit behind the set schedule. I use highlighter tape on the chart and move it up as I go. Enjoying this very much!
Time to flip the chart! Only a week behind now!
Ruth, woohoo! And don't mind that pesky schedule -- you are doing great! It's so elegant in white.
111 rows down, 28 to go!
Gorgeous! Are you on to the borders now? I've just finished the body and now going to make the edges... But I got confused and thought there's errata on the written pattern but couldnt find any online... Can you please share with me how you make the border? Thanks so much in advance! :)
Ruth! I am so behind. BUT, I just finished. Here the final steps for me:
17 rows from the end:
at the end of the chart!:
adding the little points:
On to the border! Checking on errata now!
Back in a moment.
I double-checked with Kathy White -- no errata. Crochet on!
