    This is one way to explain it: (Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, pull up loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook) three times. Then, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook. Good luck! I hope this helps...

BUT I've discovered knitpro.com symphony wood extended hooks..and Loveeeeeeeeeee them!! they are also soooooooooo versatile and can even interchange with the knitpicks.com knitting circluar interchangable...

    Often I see an afghan pattern the dimensions of which I wish to change. Is there a formula to figure out I'll need "a multiple of X + #" chains to increase or decrease the overall size of the project?
