    Rowan Calmer is between worsted weight and DK weight. (Btween CYCA 3 & 4.) So, yes, the Caron yarns could substitute. As always, anyone would be advised to do a gauge swatch and adjust accordingly.

    Dealia, I may be a little late with an answer but this yarn is a bit thinner than a regular worsted weight. If you're looking for something similar in weight consider Caron's Spa (a bamboo-microdenier acrylic mix that is very soft). If it's wool you want, Caron's Country is just a bit...
