I made this Crocheted scarf for my 2 y/o granddaughter. It has a small ruffle on 3 edges and a straight long side that would go around her neck. It matches the poncho that I made. I uploaded a picture earlier.

Crocheted baby afghan with Bunny Tail yarn and half double crochets

This is a crocheted baby afghan for my brand new baby niece Lyla. It was crocheted with a white 100% polyester yarn in half-double crochets intertwined with Bunny Tail by Loops & Threads in the colors of frost: white, aqua, lilac, and yellow pastels. The yarn is a very soft 100% polyester. The edges of the afghan are simple crochets with a simple scalloped border. It is machine washable on gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low heat.

My youngest (just turned 6!) has discovered a new interest in the sport of golf! Not that he’s ever played on a real course, but he’s pretty sure his Wii Golf experience counts, and who am I to argue with that? So when he spotted a skein of Red Heart Gumdrop and claimed it was for him, I knew exactly what to make – a Big Boy’s Cabled Golf Cap!

150 yards worsted/aran weight yarn (Red Heart Gumdrop in Lime shown)

This year our family had 6 teachers we wanted to thank – all of whom have helped our children in profound and wonderful ways. And, like most families, we’re on a budget. So for our special teachers this year, I came up with the Planting Seeds Flower Pot Cozy and printable card!

This really is a fantastic teacher gift for those on a budget. For each gift, I spent as follows:

Cotton Yarn: $0.90
Flower pot: $0.78
Begonia (sold in an 8 pack for $3.33): $0.42
Potting Soil: approximately $0.20
Card: a few cents for printer ink and paper

TOTAL: less than $2.50 each!

But as with all handmade things, it’s more than it’s parts. Fill the card with thanks and it’ll be a lovely gift that lasts all summer long!
