It's gorgeous, you are very talented did you design it as well?  It deserved first prize.  Did anyone wear it?  I lost my childrens heirloom gown that both their grandma and I worked on, it was heartbreaking, it wast crochet, satin and lace   (from my wedding dress)  that gma embroidered using the tree of life design in satin blue, she has since passed and it now pains me even more to think anyone would steal such a personal item.  Sorry about the lengthy take.

I didn't design it - I had a pattern for it and just made it from that. And noone has ever worn it - I entered it in this last years fair - but when you enter a christening gown it goes up against all of the ones that are sewn too - but thank you for saying it should have gotten 1st - it is packed away now. The pattern book that I have has 2 designs in it and I made the other design one other year and also won 3rd on it - since then I sent it to a friend - hoping that maybe her kids would have children and be able to use it some day. I'm so sorry about the gown that you and your grandma made - that is horrible that anyone would take something like that when they would know that it has personal meanings too. It sounds like it was a beautiful gown too - did you at least have pics of it?

I made 2 of these gowns one in white and one in like an antique white. They were very pretty, but it took along time to make. I just wonder what they would sell for?      Jackie

That is the trouble Jackie - noone wants to pay for the time it takes to make something like this - mine is just stuck away - I mostly made it just to enter in the fair.

My Great Granddaughter wore this for her baptism just recently...it is such a beautiful dress.  Now, I would like to make it for my other Great Granddaughters and possibly some nieces babies.  Could you please send me the pattern? Thanks for sharing.
