Butterscotch Cardigan by Julia Vaconsin, from IC Spring 2008.

Yarn: Wollmeise 100% Merino Superwash, "Pesto" colourway - 3 skeins

Hook: 4.00mm

Thoroughly enjoyed this pattern - there’s something very soothing about row after row of double crochet (or single crochet, as per US terminology ;-)

Blocked to measurements, except for the length - I squeezed another two inches out of the fabric to make it a bit longer. With hindsight, I would not have had enough yarn to add extra stitches for the same result - I had less than 15g left in the end!

The fabric feels fantastic and squishy, and I love the collar - this is going to be one of my favourite cardigans once the weather starts to cool again.

Entered in the Royal Canberra Show, February 2010, and won first prize :-)

A very pretty cardigan, looks gorgeous. As an Australian crocheter  I love to know is it a 8 ply yarn that you used? Great work!

Hi @aquabunny - the pattern asks for fingering weight, which for us is more of a 4ply than 8ply/DK. It would come out huge in 8ply!! Good luck, hope you can find a nice yarn - it's a lovely pattern.
