I belong to the Ravelry Crochet Bag a Month Club & it's May Challenge bag inspiration is flowers.

These are all variations that start with the crochet corkscrew spiral concept.

Hi Eastender!    I just wanted to tell you that I love (L-o-v-e) your May Challenge project work.  Excellent !!

I see really outstanding pieces that look like you are telling a story of exactly crocheted spiral flowers. So pretty!!

It's like old-fashioned art to modern art.  That looks like a basket/flowerpot to hold the flowers as well. The yarns all

go beautifully together. The feel of those yarns must be great.  I have only seen the flowerpot shade of green in pastel colors,

and only a very few of them too.  This is the first time I've seen spiral flowers done this way, and I really love it.

I hope that you win a really great prize for your work.  Best wishes, -Amyrose.

Thanks for your comments & feedback. I did shape the sample swatch to look like a flower pot. Not sure it I can shape the full size bag the same way yet. But I am going to take a photo of the flowers in the swatch  'flower pot' cause I think it'll look cool.

I had alot of fun making the flowers- they work up fast & each small variation in stitch pattern gives an obvious difference in appearance.

Don't know if I'll win for May- we have a talented group. But I enjoy the challenge.

I don't know if you're still checking up here, but I was just wondering if you could tell me how to do the bottom middle flower, or point me in the direction of some sort of tutorial that can? It would be perfect (on a larger scale) for a rug I'm making!
