I'm not sure exactly what is meant by the gauge on this beautiful pattern.

When it says, 2 x 2 motifs, does that mean that you make 4 motifs total and form them into a square and then measure across the 4 squares?

I'm unclear on the gauge but would love to make this one.  Please help.

Thanks,

Lee Ann

That is how I too  would interpret it - measuring the height and width (which should be equal, it being a square).

When the guage says to measure over a 2 x 2 motif, that means that you make 4 motifs total and join them into a square and then measure across 2 motifs and down two motifs.
