This richly textured square is formed with alternating front post double crochet and back post double crochet. This cable afghan square is part of the Chain Reaction Afghan Project, a yearlong print and online project, that brings together the work of professional and emerging designers in a single afghan. Finished Size: 12 " by 12".
Yarn: About 300 yd [275 m]; green.
Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge: 18 sts and 10 rows = 4" in st patt.

This seems like a simple stich, I'm following directions and the 5mm hook is too large I have scaled down to 3.25 and its still to large. When I do 47 stiches it is 12" ..any suggestions on what i'm doing wrong?????
