A baby blanket I designed and made for a young woman at our church expecting her first baby. Caron Simply Soft yarn was used. The weight, sheen, and overall texture of this yarn is simply beautiful. I recently bought a book of shell stitches from Leisure Arts, as well as a book on boarders. Indispensable for make your own projects. The inspiration never ends.

Beautiful blanket. Are you willing to share the pattern?

Thank you. I am in the process of remaking the blanket  for someone else, and trying to write pattern down as I go. I was planning on having the pattern for sale eventually on my Etsy account, along with other patterns that I have made. If I actually ever get  to that point is another matter, as I have so many major things going seemingly contant in my life. I will let you know if I ever get it on paper however, if you would still be interested.

I have a similar pattern, from which I adopted for sale from this origianl blanket. It is for sale on ETSY at this web address:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/150809558/crochetbabypatterncrochet?ref=shop_home_active_2

Just copy and paste it into the search bar and the page where it is for sale will come up. Just use Caron Simply Soft yarn rather than the yarn the pattern calls for in order to ge tthe silky-shiny apperance.

I was unsure of copywrite laws when I first began designing, and since when I made this orignal blanket I used a stitch I found in a stitch pattern book, I didnt want to infringe on any copywright. So, I altered the stich pattern a bit to make it my original  stitch, but still have it similar looking to the original blanket.
