Braided Tunisian

This afghan square is created mainly in the Tunisian simple stitch, with three colors of yarn. (Bernat Cotton Tots Dollhouse, Strawberry and Pretty in Pink) The braid consists of four separate sections, which were then rejoined into one wide Tunisian simple stitch. The spaces on the sides of the braid were filled with a combination of double, treble and double treble crochet stitches. To finish off the piece and to help with flattening it, I added a single crochet border.

This design can also be done using just the one color of yarn - Bernat Cotton Tots Dollhouse - for the tunisian sections, as it includes the lighter pink and darker pinks used as the other two yarns. Using just the one yarn would make for less ends to have to weave in later. :)

I don't have the pattern published at the moment... or really even written yet. Once I write it, I'll let you know ASAP! Thanks!!
