This square is made with 100% cotton worsted weight [4] "kitchen" yarn, but can easily be made with any [4] weight yarn.  I used short lengths of many different colors to create a rainbow effect, but the pattern also looks great in just 3 or 4 repeated colors.  It also works well with baby/springtime colors with white or cream as the edge and zig zag stripe color.

This would also be great as a full afghan.  I love the way you used the colors and designed the wavy pattern.

Love the Jewel Tone colors. Agree that done on a larger scale it would make a beautiful afghan.
