This snowflake is crocheted along with the square rather than attached afterwards.  Snowflake is mostly chain which is appropriate for Chain Reaction Project

I love how there appears to be a design right in the center in black then spreads out into the white flake.  It is simple yet intricate and beautiful.

Love it!  It really does look like a snowflake.  Too cool!  I'd love to see how it would look as a whole afghan of squares.
